| Job Analysis and Role Profiling |
|
This is the cornerstone of organisation and job design. It is the process whereby the principle accountabilities of a job, and the key performance indicators against which performance can be assessed, are defined. It also clarifies the skills, knowledge, experience and competencies required for successful job performance, identifies the internal and external relationships that the job holder is required to manage, and the critical challenges that they are required to overcome. The outputs from the job analysis process are typically a job description, role profile or job family model depending on the needs of the organisation and the extent to which there is a requirement to support selection, development, performance management, reward and career management processes. |
